  1. It's because of the leading "1" in your nick name. This causes you to be the very first in the list of players (in the chat dialog window) sometimes. The same happens to me because my name starts with an "a", thus being on top of the yellows' list. Unless 7me is online. :(
  2. Good news! Brian is still up and running (as opposed to his PC) He has not had a computer available because lightning killed the one he had.
  3. Right-click your name, select "Edit your profile", then activate "Kibitz partner when dummy" in the "Kibitzing" section.
  4. BBO client version 4.5.4, OS = W98 When I try to watch a chinese vugraph session, the client aborts with a IPF in KERNEL32 immediately after entering the room (players' names get displayed, but no hands). Could it have something to do with the "strange" characters used for the session name and the players' names?
  5. 1) It would be nice if team games were easier to arrange 2) It would be nice if the teams get "swapped" after half of the boards played 3) It would be nice if players were allowed to finish a board in the MBC
  6. REVERSE = rebid of a new suit higher than the first one AND which has been *denied* by partner. Partner has not denied hearts, so it's not a reverse.
  7. IMHO, the first question is: Is there a partnership agreement?
  8. With Lavinthal agreed upon, I pitch the 9 of diamonds to encourage partner to continue spades.
  9. Your partner - the one who bid the suit in first place.
  10. What am I missing? I see 12 tricks: 2 clubs, 2 diamonds, 5 hearts, 2 spades, 1 spade ruff.
  11. Once in a local club: Player1: You should have taken opps' second diamond trick! Player2: I couldn't. Player1: We could have set that 3 NT if you'd only took that trick! Player2: I couldn't. Player1: Why didn't you overtake declarer's second diamond card? Player2: I couldn't - it was the ace of diamonds. Player1: ... Player1: ... then you should have used the cardinal of diamonds.
  12. The Heisenberg uncertainty principle, sometimes called the Heisenberg indeterminacy principle (a title prefered by Niels Bohr), expresses a limitation on accuracy of (nearly) simultaneous measurement of observables such as the shape and the strength of a hand.
  13. The table becomes visible for a player if a seat is reserved.
