  1. FYI, for me it started only a week or so ago and appears to be a problem only on my iPad, which currently is running version 13.3.1
  2. When playing GIB, my double and redouble keys do not work.
  3. BBO team - You are doing a great job! Thank you for your dedication and hard work.
  4. Once the crisis is over, I think that this is a really good idea. There is no reason to ruin a good table because the host has fallen asleep or lost his connection. And, some clearly are doing something else at the same time. Maybe have a minimum inaction time of 60 seconds or so.
  5. Fred You guys have done a great job. Thank you for everything that you do for the betterment of bridge. Yes, landscape would be a good feature, particularly since that is how most iPod stands are designed, but I agree that the new version is a solid upgrade.
  6. I use an iPad to play BBO. Using the new version I cannot get the screen to the orate. This was not an issue with the old version. Is there a way to get it to rotate?
  7. Too many people leave right after they see bad cards or during the middle of a hand. This hurts their partner and the flow of the hand. Consider adding a "Withdraw at End of Hand" button as an encouragement to people to leave tables at that time. The hard core table surfers will ignore it, but I believe that many would adopt it as their standard practice.
  8. I strongly support the ban. There is no need to use crude language, particularly at a bridge table, and BBO needs to set a high standard.
  9. It may be just bad luck, but I have had a ton of dead hosts over the recent past. I agree with the original post. Extreme slowness can ruin the game for everyone. Consider at the 30 second mark adding a popup for the nonresponding player asking if he needs more time. If he responds in 20 seconds, give him another 30 seconds. If not, boot him so that the other players can continue. Some improvement needs to be made.
  10. Four observations: (1) I view it as my duty to play with beginners a little, although I often remind tham that it is better to make a mistake than to play too slowly, (2) I do think that once someone has logged in 500 times or so they should be required to post at least a simple card, (3) I think that BBO could help the learning process by, when it sees a player with horible results, sending them a link to the SAYC summary, to a learning opportunity or something like that (BBO knows how good and bad players are from their cumulative results, and the law of large numbers does apply), and (4) I wish that BBO posted game completion percentages so that hopper would be encouraged to complete the hand befor hopping off.
