Thank you for your responses. As I said, we are teaching ourselves 2/1 at this time. We are studying Larry Cohen's free series of 12 lessons. But soon, our club director will be teaching classes on 2/1. Looking forward to those. Your comments were about what I expected, thank you again.

My partner and I are teaching ourselves two over one, we are beginner/intermediates. The bidding went like this (opponents are passing): 1 ♦ by me. 2 ♣ by him. and we ultimately ended up in 3NT. He had 4-4-4-1 (one club). He just wanted me to know we had game somewhere, and we did. (Please disregard the fact that he could have bid differently). Is his a legal bid? He alerted it as "2/1 and could be short (on BBO)". Would that bidding sequence be allowed in a tournament? Thanks.

I'm obviously missing something (or many things) about posting my convention card on BBO. I've captured my partner's and my ACBL card with modifications, put our BBO names on it, and when we log in, the chat area says our card is being used. But the opponents can never see our explanations. Do the convention cards only display with the new software? I'm using the old download because I prefer the looks of it. Are there any posts with explicite instructions on how to get the cards to display for the opponents viewing? I've spent hours, literally, trying to get the card to work. Please help.

I'm interested in playing BBO tournaments with my regular club partner and want to post a convention card for us. I've spent a couple of hours trying to find info on where the "software" is, and how to fill it out and save it. Can anyone give me info on this subject? (first time poster). Thanks in advance. PS: I found info on how to complete the card. But there is no "My BBO" button to click on. I don't have a BBO task bar.
