thats done already jack once playing elsewhere i think u are removed from all other sublist, also when u sit down at a table in main bridgeclub im fairly convindeced wasnt the problem of the topic, i think someone prefered only to play with"certain" partners and so add themselves as half sub so to say(subbing on thier condition) but sometimes tds get in to prob and want to get the tourney going and then names are typed in without sending invites(names are names on the sublist) and we tds feel that subbing is a good daed and not a way to play a couple of baords with an expert player of whome we even more oftenly hear that they are no experts after a couple og baords:) hope i clarified some here

hi, i prefer always to make decent partnerships, i can imagine every novice to fill in as sub for a starpartner(so i try to avoid this), i try do this however not always possible(time). further i send 95% invites(exception is the prevuios example), only very very rare that i manually type a players name as sub(my typing isnt that fast:)) and agree with what ben says, happend to me also and then the player refused to play with me and ask to be subbed, very disappointing action and not wuthry of a td(player in questions was/is TD)

hi, changing again today to full swiss mode so sitouts are allowed in the climb of the matterhorn, we ll see how it goes, i was forced to do survivor due to the many intentionel disconnect and i see now players going offline seconds before round change, smart huh , to not be counted as intentionel disconnect. i ll get back on this in a couple of hours as jan im fast adding my comments before my 8 hours and more services a day will no longer be needed:)

hi, let me explain what happen since it was my tourney, i explained this to both players already but i failed obviuosly to do it proper. Tourney started with 41 tables, format swiss, so NO CUTS based upon SCORES. What happend? somewhere down the field one player was missing at round changed , since swiss dont allow sitouts(this is software not tds doing this) one pair was discarded and took the wurst scoring pair along with it, scores from bearnum and partner where 0% and 11%. In survivor its impossible to allow cuts before second round is complete so twice the numbers of baords per round is the minumun u play, in all the tourneys i hosted was this the first unfortunaly accident (= cut to even out the field) Ihope in the future we can have the option to host clocked with siwss movement,so nobody is discarded and the best scoring pairs are playing against eachother. I apoligiest already to jackie and her partner for the unfortunate incident, wasnt something as u can understand that i aimed for , the problem is a little that all prefer the barometer type of tourneys but no baroameter without cuts in some form(every pair with missing player, cuts made by td, cuts to even out the field) sorry again jackie

hi, lets thank uday, this will decrease our work, lesser subs, this will increase fairness1.nomore cowboy bidders hoping for a max, if not they bail(finisched now) 2. those never finding the right partner till the day they coud play with themselves(finisched also) this will increase ethics, rude players against partners tds, just boot them guys/girls.If they want to change thier attitudes welcome again for those with the terrible connections and cant seem to finisch a decent percantage, i agree with ben on this on for the time period the tournament ban stands for agree in sofar that this is new , lots are unaware but in time when this comes generally know i think there is room for longer periods or perhaps seeing the same names doing that again after a week ban, maybe some xtra encouragement thx uday for providing some numbers, unfortunaly we tds where aware of this besides those not wanting to see that problem

and how about the slow ones?? and how about those fast ones have to wait for their results?? u pull the plug and they see played hands? So after 4 good baords players freez up because thier results are good, i hope uday on a insane day add this what u are asking, claus they are going to kill u, winners are with 2 baords played out of 10 xxxx, 2 good baords and then every time u are called to a table for slow play , they play one card and u see "ah ok now"and u rush off to the next table where one is doing the same pffffffffff :huh: P.S maureen and my offer still stands , but i think u never going to allow your thinking to be changed, but yet u keep disagreeing with everybody else, a shame. hi, all this , one advice, make clocked and add first round 1 mnute a board, check up late tables and u ll be ok also, no need to work a day with lowereing scores. NEW one to me,tourney is virtually finisched??? well we are in a virtual world, makes u think huh gonna tell u , clocked 8 minutes a baord /10 baords finisched in 84 max, fastest one , so first sections 2 minutes ahaed, first tables their are finisched after 9/10 minutes in last round, they done in 74+-, last slowest player is home in time for dinner with 84 minutes(then an unclocked is starting baord 6/8 the so called slowest part of that tourney). i played them all, i hosted them all, i have fast cable connection and i play always fast, ask my regular partners(they complain that i play to fast) and even i got in several really unfortunate tourneys(i use nice words because i respect every td and his setup) where it took me a hell of a lot longer then 7/8 minutes a baord so if the risk is still there that happens i cant enter an unclocked. let me clarify something u dont seem to get claus and mcbruce we in clocked make sure the slowest cant prolong the tourney, we have a max for that, unclocked doesnt so by defanition a unclocked event is longer because u wait to finsch till the slowest , most frequently bathroomvisitor , distracted finally had enough from it and played his last card in the last baord after phoning seventeen minutes to his his old schoolfriend marc

hi i can only talk for myself in this case but if i see someone explaing as "michaels""i hope my partner gets it" then i private his partner that, i think its only fair, the rules states that u need to provide opps of your agreements , in this case u doughbt that so i woud give that info to your partner, i find no pleasure in getting a good score due to an misundertsanding of opps bidding, however it is diffrent when i dont see the initional bid alerted and explained then i take the whatever the scorebaord will bring me marc

well, ther is no button for that but lots are doing it as we speak, but i kiss the ground uday walks on to start tracking those who cant play full tourneys for whatever reason. Period

hi, in purple is me P>S claus, have u ever played in a tournament or is it just your nature that u critisise everthing posted by others, again when i host unclocked events, we recieve spammail that it all took to long, when is it finisched, not able to play next tounrey, with spammail i mean lots and lots of mail asking me to never host unclocked events, we run big events claus , not small ones restricted to private clubs, one slow opp is enough to put you in to suffering, in clocked we catch up with then very fast, we only have to check up late tables and get them moving

hi, we always work with 1 td first 100 pairs,2 for max 160, 1 at least for every 60 more, in calm days when not to much trouble for alerts , query problems 60tables is manageble. we have some more work with now beeing able to look up every baord but i think this is not mentionable due to the fact the long talks about requirering tablnumer where they played last(we needed that in a dark age to adjust) are gone What happend in the first case(canceld one) i seemed to have the luck/bad luck to get all calls from tables actually calling when my co-td had a vey smooth time with only minor issues. In the scond one really one pair was callcrazy for an adjust, tourneyrules about mutiple calls are know , 17 in total from 2 players, with in mind what happend day before i explained them it was to much and i booted them Now to asnwer rest of your question ben, several td are saying that overall unruly incident are increasing, this is not recently but from some time ago, i however fell the increase of that is stopped, i think it got something to do with how u run tourneys, the no show ,non adjusting,playing td will i believe have larger problems in time Now as for your asking for a solution, uday told me this is a project he gonna take up in a forseable future p.s. must add that every one of these players doing that to me/us was blacklisted in the past, hosting a lot means also having a larger blacklist but i enable most again prior to the 100the bridge too far, so maybe for a few its something personal(that they didnt agree with first listing) i donno THX hallway, offer seems sometimes very tempting:)

hi Defanition of unclocked = no time limit in second baord(also not in first but be lucky there is something like skipping a baord when less then five minutes so hear me, unclocked is semi clocked) :angry: :unsure: defanition of clocked = limited time( a max.) per baord I really cant afford to start playing in an unclocked , i dont know when it ends and i dont want to be playing when a tourney begins where im directing , u can be as fast a bullet all it really needs is to have slow opps and u fall into the slow field marc

hi, yes claus all it needs is a slowplayer in last baord of a round to cause delay, further delay is caused when u have to wait for others to finisch so u actually can move.So even what quote u refer to i dont care, u help a small% of lucky players that are lucky because they play against as fast as themselves opps, but several also fast players are caught/suprissed from slow opps , is it fair to please a couple/punish others. No it isnt, main reason why when u apply for TD advice is to run clocked tourneys, instead of the td and players agony an unclocked event can be. u suggest me a tourney format, ok i will u as cotd. After that U do 16 baords one round unclocked , and when u done the day after ill say well done td. dont try to convince me of things were i know just plain and simple more about (i host at least 2 tourneys a day open for the public and not some private club where all play the same system where countless calls are avoided simple for that reason) the group u referring finisching first are the lucky ones, i dont care for statitics, i say and say again all it needs is a slow player at at table one round and u drop to second group and shame o shame a second slow one will drop u in group three and all clocked tourneys are finisched before unclocked and with finisched i mean all tables are finisched, if u want to play speedball, do what uday told or go sit on a table where u know all four have cableconnection/T1 and play. i think u nevr hosted outside your private club so u dont know, yet you seem to critise every post, i woud like to see u agree once in a while, u are unique just like everybody else but most seem to agree with others once in a while, i have others read your replie and a couple off others replies from you as well, they told me why bother , the man has one vision, probaly will never reconsider his thoughts ever and is just plain stuborn P.S must add that im also suborn till certain degree but i changed my thinking at least several times after reading a replie from others, only reason why i use this forum is to get feedback and learn a thing or 2 .How? hi, claus claus claus, how can u explain that time showed minus 12 minutes in a tourney today, think all read your prefernces on uncloked events but there is no need to clash with reality, i know several fast players that dont play uncloked cause all it needs is ONE SLOWPLAYER A TABLE TO CAUSE SEVERE WAIT, further u need several other tables to have finisched before u can change , minus 12 minutes claus , waiting waiting waiting waiting, they were done with 2 minutes to go, so they waited 14 minutes before they coud change, disaster nothing more , nothing less, but since u are the most fortunate td around here, u never will know it,.are there 2 difereant realitys, ours and yours?
