  1. This is a bit harsh, Trpltrbl obviously comes from a place where vowels are in very short supply. Those of us who are fortunate enough to live in places where vowels are freely available should be more tolerant. Eric Thx Eric ;D Y know what they say about us Dutch people. ::) Mike ;D
  2. Thank you very much 8) I am not worried about it, I am not here to teach people how to write or speak English. I guess y r one of these people that needs everything spelled out, otherwise y get confused. LOL ( Laughing Out Loud ), making sure y get it :) Mike ;D
  3. There's a difference between insane players and players with another style! Some never open with less than 11HCP, others open with 8+. Some need 7 card to preempt, others 6 card, I only need 5 :) The more agressive, the more insane it looks. But I still haven't made a preempt at 3-level with a 4 card (maybe a thought when I play against you ;D)... The biggest issue is that your partner needs to know your style, and hopefully play the same way. If you open very light, then your partner has to keep that in mind when desciding what to bid. Free Point well taken, agression is good 8) but , ok in MY style, I expect pd to have at least a decent hand when opening in first or second seat :) And preempting on 4 card suit at 3 level is a lot of fun, last time I did opps got to slam completely miplayed the hand, and we won big imps, the Match and the KO. So it does work, only not against me hehehe 8) Mike ;D ;D
  4. Where is that free Beer ? Still waiting :) Mike ;D
  5. Depending on what 5 H means with my hand I think with most pd's I bid 6 H directly, but good thing about all my pd's is that they pass that lousy 1D opening hand. In all reality y have a 9 count. So when I go down my pd finds out what an opening hand is, and when I make :-X When in doubt bid what y think y can make, I have first round control in 3 suits with a pd that opened, if y have a scientific way to find out, good for you, but I don't think very many of us do. Maybe if direct 5 H bid is asking to bid 6 with tophonor in H. I am starting to think maybe I am only one around that has sane pd's hehehe Mike ;D
  6. 3. Partner had: AQ109 863 1095 Q65 4S was no problem, 5S makes because you can ruff a D, 6S has no chance at all. Do you like the 3S bid? Free I agree with the 3 Sp bid, I can have a lot less for my X and a 4-3-3-3 is not best hand in the world, 9 loser hand, 3 Sp good enough. On a good Day the Clubs break 3-3. But I think my pd bids just 4 Sp after my 4 D, just to many losers. ;) Mike ;D
  7. Guess what... ;) Free Y said it , not me :-X Mike ;D
  8. If opps overtake D king with the ace I wanna declare. Since I will have no problem whatsoever after that. ;D Mike ;D
  9. What is pd going to do with Axxx Jx Jxxx xxx ? Mike ;D
  10. Same here, except I think pd can have more then 2 points, the 3 nt bidder never said anything about having a 10 count or so. They mite just be bidding on an almost running D suit with maybe an entree somewhere. But agressive leads work out most of the time. Hope this is one of em 8) Mike ;D
  11. Hmm, r hand looks very good to me, especially with r H void and almost solid spades and r D ace. Unless r used to playing with insane pd's I think 7 is a very good option. Since there is no way to find out actually exactly what pd has, maybe this is where judgement comes in handy :) Mike ;D
  12. What is RKC going to do for you ? Y need to know how many hearts r pd has, not how many aces. All y care about is the rump suit and amount of Hearts. Mike ;D
  13. I have also played on OKB and have seen people say OKB2/1, and then when we start playing they have no idea what the system is they said they wud play. Just tell at start, they few things y wanna play, most of y only sit down with a pd for about 5 or 6 hands and then leave because pd generally not good enough or something like that, or vice versa. If y actually manage to sit down longer a basic system shud be good enough.I f y start a longlasting pdship then y can go on, everything is just a waste of time. :) Mike ;D
  14. First about the 2nd hand, I play 2/1 so 2 CL is already GF and 3 Sp shows solid spades and slam interest. First hand I play new suit cuebid for pd, otherwise I'll bid 3 ntor 4 of his major. Easy game isn't it hehehe. Mike ;D
  15. 2 H, my pd will bid again if there is a bid and who knows maybe opps need to balance hehe. Let pd know y have that 6 card suit, if I am going to lie I will bid 3 H but not without any aces. That's all Folks :) Mike ;D
  16. Lemon or Lime because it is sour for the Opps 8) Mike ;D
  17. 1) For me only 3 must have; Drury, Lebensohl and Minisplinters. 2 ) Rest 3 ) Rest 4 ) Flannery and Gerber 5 ) Support X and re X Mike ;D
  18. I almost always agree with you but this time I would play the 5 of D since the 10 cud be important card. And if pd get's in to play a D back it is already down 1 hehehe. Mike ;D
  19. Club Ace has to onside. I need also to be 3 hearts with Cl Ace. SO ruff H at trick 3 and play Club towards the K, after that y x ruff hand to 10 tricks. Maybe wrong but I play it that way. Mike ;D
  20. That will be down 1 if West has 6 spades and both red aces and East has 3 or more diamonds with queen. West will clear spades and you have only eight tricks. I think it is good odds to play West for diamond ace. My line would be win in dummy with spade king and cross to hand with a club and lead a diamond to king. If it holds now you concede a spade as defence cannot get more than 2 diamonds, 1 spade and 1 heart. I agree to play D to the K, we have to make sure we don't get H back from wrong side. And this seems to work most of the time. Mike ;D
  21. I am ducking a heart out, who knows maybe the Q mite win 8) But if not I think I need the hearts to behave to make this. But I have been in worse then this, and gotten lucky so why not now hehe. Mike ;D
