  1. Look me up online and we'll play and see how it goes. Mike :D
  2. I might be interested in it, if I knew what system it was. You have any info on it, or link where I can find it ? Mike :D
  3. I think Marc is on right track with having to be invited to play in Match. Or maybe people should be just nice enough to make sure everybody that plays in match has agreed to play. Mike :D
  4. There is a 3.6.4 version out now. Mike :D
  5. Basically when you claim you have to state a line. Mike :D
  6. I am with Discover Bridge or maybe Bridge Odessy. Mike :D
  7. Try it out easy with 64 brds and maybe 8 brds per round. And see how this goes, it will still take 8 hours to play, kinda like a mini-marathon. Mike :D
  8. I still do play this system, and I still treat it very much as a "normal" 1♣ opening, except that my 1♦ can be 3+. Mike :D
  9. Maybe you should worry about 4-0 trump break, since you are playing IMP's. I am sure your pd's are going to more impressed when you tell them you bid 7♦ to be on the save side, rather then gambling 7 NT for minimum gain, but with the risk to lose bigtime. 1440 compared to 1520 for a 2 imp gain or -1490 for very many imps loss. Mike :D
  10. Thx Ben, I was always wondering what that "hidden button" ment. Now I know. Mike :D
  11. 1 ) 2♦ is not forcing, 3♥ is showing nice hand but still not forcing. With this hand I think you have to bid 3♦ you have fit for pd's suit, your ♥ suit is a 1 loser suit, and you have a void in a unbid suit. 2 ) 3♠ is just showing 3 card support, pd's 3♣ is 4th SF. 3 ) No, but very very strongly invites. 4 ) After 3 ♥ North can bid 4NT as RKCB, South bidding 5 NT showing 2 aces and a void, which can't be in ♠. North should be able to bid 7♥ now, where can pd have his points, he must have K of ♠. But is not easy, but 7 ♥ is saver contract then 7♠ Mike :D
  12. And another thing you have to keep in mind, is that certain systems you can't play in a lot of places. Again you are better of playing a natural system with maybe a better way to evaluate your hand. I really like the Zarpoints system Go with that and you'll see. Mike :D
  13. It depends mostly on what you are planning on doing, are you going to play with many different pd's or is there 1 pd who you are going play with for a long time. In most cases I would strongly recommend 2/1 with some gadgets, if you want to play something a little more complex go with 2/1 with Variable NT openings. Relay systems can be fun but you need to study a lot, and if you forget something :D and most playing this when they get intervered with are going down the drain real quick. I rather play 2/1 with Variable NT, and some nice simple gadgets. More importantly is to get good defensive carding, since 50% of time you will be defending. Mike :D
  14. Yes, it is called Zarpoints. It is based on HCP+ Controls, your 2 longest suit and your shortest suit. All this added up will give you your Zarpoints. HCP + Controls you count your points a little different ; A = 6 K = 4 Q = 2 J = 1 I will just give you the link to go there and you can see it for yourself. If you have any quesion, just ask me :D ZarPoints Mike :D
  15. East must have it, since otherwise hand has no problem at all. Win ♥ in dummy, play A of ♠ and then Q of ♣, which, I assume, East will win. And after ♦ return and ruff by West, who I assume plays a ♥ back, which I overtake with the Ace, to take finesse in trump, restricted choice. Pull trump, and claim my 10 tricks. Mike :D
  16. Is this based on strong 1 ♣ opening bids ? Or just any regular opening bids. I play something similair with my pd when we play weak NT's but only after X. Looks interesting. Mike :D
  17. According to my calculations, there is a 68,9752% chance of getting 3 tricks. If you play the Ace and then a small towards the Jack, I think I will take my chances with that :D Mike :D
  18. I am seeking but haven't found any eggs yet :D the solution I have but no eggs :) Mike :P
  19. First thing you should do is making the contract since not many pairs will be in it in MP's. After you find out trump are 2-2 run the K of ♥, if covered you ruff and go home get 12 tricks, maybe even 13. But I will just play to make 12 tricks without touching trump by x-cruff. I am happy to score my 85+% score, don't need 100% all the time to win. :D Mike :)
  20. Oops. I never saw my ♥ Ace on 1. Now I will just bid 3♠ showing this type of hand, even though I don't like to have singl in pd's overcalled suit. Mike :D
  21. 1 ) a ) I bid 2♠, NF constructive, mostly because my singleton in pd's opening suit. Good thing my pd's bid with fit and if they don't have fit I will hear something else. After 3♦ I I will bid 3 ♠, which pd will raise to game even with a void but with nice other cards. b ) After 3♦ I will bid 3♠, and again pd will bid with fit. 2 ) 3 NT, it is IMP's and we have about as much chance of making this as 3 ♦. 3 ) Pd obviously doesn't wanna tell us what he has in his hand, except for the 4 ♠, I have no idea what else he has, sounds like 4-2-4-3 hand. With 5 ♦ I really hope he would have bid 3 ♦ after 3♣. But I don't want to gamble 6♣ even though my gutt tells me I should. I just need to know too much specific cards out of pd's hand and I don't have the room to do that savely. Mike :D
  22. I am not sure if spt dbl is played at three level, though it depends on partnership agreement. I prefer not to use it at three level. FLy I have to agree, support doubles at the three level are very, highly unusual treatment. Support doubles are based upon the law of total tricks. You double at a low level to show three, so your partner knows how hight to compete with 4, 5, 6 card suits (and raise with 4). Your partner lookng at 3♠ and very modest values over a support double will be wondering where to go...how to get back to 1♠ when bidding is at 3♥? Just plain dbl with this hand is fine, and if partner does bid 4♦, you can bid 4♠ or 4♥... 4♠ will have 3 card support and slam interest written all over it, but non-forcing.. and 4♥ will show the stregnth of the hand, but your ♠ support will never have been shown. I play support X up to 3♥. Mostly because of this reason. And you should know by now I am not like most people :D Mike :P
  23. Pd has about 8-11 HCP, and is short in ♦. I think pd is showing 6♠ and 4♥, but it depends on some agreements. Do we play support X Good/Bad NT etc. Mike :D
  24. I bid 3 ♠ which forces 3 NT by pd. Now I can describe what sort of minorsuitslam interest I have. 4♣ = singlesuited slamgoing 4♦ = singelsuited slamgoing 4♥ = both minors slaminterest with ♥ shortness 4♠ = both minors slamgoing with ♠ shortness 5♣ = singlesuited hand mild slaminterest 5♦ = singlesuited mild slaminterest So with this hand you bid 4♦ and pd will take it from there. Mike :D
  25. MP's either 3 NT or 6 ♣, depends on my game, if I need a good score to go somewhere, I will bid 6 ♣. Mike :D
