Just for you people out there, there are others things to life then sitting behind pc playing cards, or posting your opinion. No matter how worthy or worthless they might be. Go try the gym someday, go play raquetball, go whitewaterrafting, maybe kitesurfing or scubadiving, sailing or maybe just get some friends to hang out with. Postin on here fulltime is nothing to be proud of, but that is just my humble opinion. GBB :)

Very simple rule, I have a fit and decent ( more the minimum ) hand. So I raise to 3♥. GBB :)

What next would really depend on what 5♦ and 5♥ ment. I doubt that 5♦ is seen as exclusion. But in Most pdships I would just bid 6♥. GBB :)

Hand becomes nice if pd has a ♠ fit. He can't have a whole lot of points. I will bid 2NT, a strong 2 suited TO. Hopefully pd has enough, which mine never do :unsure: , to bid 4♠ or even 3 NT if he prefers. GBB :unsure:

1♦ opening. I win in my hand, play ♥ to the ace, ruff a ♥,♦ to the J ruff a ♥. But even with all the suits breaking good, I only get up to 11 tricks that way. So I guess i have to play my opps for not so good and lead the ♠J and hope they duck and that the suit breaks 3-3 :unsure: Good luck to me. After the low ♣ lead you either need ♦QJ tight or ♥KJ tight or of course the ♣4-4. GBB :D

Sounds like lefty has a lead problem. Obviously we have 3 losers and if we don't find the ♠Q we are down. Sinc you posted it here, there is no simple ♠ finesse :) Just because of that I play ♠Ace followed, if nothing big has appeared, with the ♠J to pin the 10. GBB :D

That's what I get for overcalling 2♠, about 30% of my values in a worthless card. I better make this or I will walking down to the pdship desk looking for a new pd, again...... :) Well, I have to play the ♥ for no losers, that is about 39% and then I still need the ♣ K to come down too or the ♠J to be doubleton, that's about 27%. And of course I have many entree problems too, I wonder why pd would just blast 7♠. Hasn't he played long enough with me to know I really don't have what I am supposed to have to justify my bidding :) I ruff the first trick, hate going down in trick one ;) Play the Ace of♥, and of course the Q doesn't drop, pull trump and take the ♥ finesse. And then later take the ♣ finesse. I think that gives you the best chance. GBB :lol:

In theory the best is the 8. Will most play the 8, I doubt it. When playing in real the situation is different, because of maybe bidding, already played cards maybe even having almost complete count on the hand. For example, without knowing anything you have a 39% chance of playing for 5 tricks. Let's say you know half the deck in opps hand. I am putting 7 "known" cards in each hand. Now it becomes about 45%. If I have even more info let's say I know 10 cards in each hand, the chance becomes 50%. And of course, it really really depends on who you play against. Is it the person, who just started reading the book, the one that has been stuck at the 3rd chapter for 30 years or the guy that wrote it :) GBB :)

Pd knows I have a big hand, his 3♦ sounds like a very weak bid and I believe denies any entree with interest in NT. So I will pass, with pain in my ♥. GBB :lol:

Not being very familair with strong ♣, but you have limited your hand. So I think I would transfer to ♣ and then bid 3♠, naturally. I think this has to show 6-5 type hand, with 6-4 you could have bid stayman first and then bid 3♣ if pd bids 2♦, this should be NF, but like I said, I am not familair with system so this might mean something different in your system. If West is 1-3-5-4 he has a TO double, therefore I would play him more to be 2-2-5-4, but ok you said 1-3-5-4. So that I play the ♣K at trick 2 and get a ♥ switch. I am fairly sure that a ♣ back would have set the contract but a ♥ back gives us a chance now. So the contract is only makeable because of the ♥ back. I duck and ruff small, and ruff a ♣ in dummy. Ruff a♥ and ruff a ♣ with the Q. Play Ace of ♥ pitching either ♣ or♦ and take ♠ finesse. Now you pull last trump and play your last ♣ endplaying West for your ♦K as 10th trick. GBB <_<

1) Pass, I have nothing, if my pd can't double we are good, I think anyone who overcalls 2♠ here sould get doubled with ♠ stack behind them and go down 6 and see yet another pair of teammates disappear with the sun, options getting very thin... <_< 2) Funny, pd get's in with 7♥ and then he passes 7♠, obviously this has to be forcing ;) but does it guarantee ♠A ? I don't know if I am willing to gamble 7NT, even if he has the ace we are not guaranteed 13 tricks, so I will just double and take my save +. 3) I will lead ♦T, or if playing std leads the ♦J, I have no entree besides the Ace, so the need to break 3-3 or 3-2, but if I leading low and Qxx hits dummy, pd will need to go up with Axx. Would hate to see the ♦8 make the 9th trick :angry: GBB :lol:
