I love the Solitaire Bridge "Start Bridge 4 Game (Free)". It's a wonderful way to practise - but just one suggestion. If the robot opposite the human is the declarer, the human should automatically switch places with the robot. Watching 3 robots play against each other while the human is a dummy serves no purpose.

This is about the webbased BBO interface. When you register for a tournament - you are taken to a Partnership Desk. You can add your name to the desk also invite someone whose name is already there in the desk. The names are sorted in alphabetical order. This means that someone like me will always be towards the end of the list and will have lesser chance of getting invited. Why not sort these names in the order in which people added their name to the desk?

Not sure if these were advertised as 'goulash' tournaments. I will keep an eye next time.

I am not sure if this is the right subforum to post this in, but here goes. Most of the free tournaments hosted on BBO which use predealt hands seem to mostly consist of freak hands. Almost all of these predealt hand tournaments have bidding which goes like 4♥-4♠-5♥-5♠-6♥-6♠- Every hand goes into 5-6-7 levels in competitive bidding and each team has 11+ cards of their suit. Are such pre-dealt hands specially selected? What's the deal with this? And what's the point in playing tournaments with just these kind of hands.

What's the rationale behind calculating the TCR for last 2 months. What if someone plays just a couple of tournaments every month but completes 100% of them. His TCR will always be unknown. If the TCR is a way to determine who won't run away in the middle, then a better way would be calculate last 'N' tournaments played without any time period coming into the calculation.

In some tournaments, occasionally your deal just disappears and you are transported to the next deal. You see 'Ave 50.0% 50.0%" in the my results tab. I assume this happens when time runs out for a deal - is that so? Also sometimes the score later adjusted. What exactly happens here?

I am pretty sure I have completed 10 in the last 2 days. Hopefully by tomorrow, my TCR is updated.

If I register for a tournament and don't play it (either because I am already playing/subbing in another tournament) or because I am not online - does that count as a negative? I am asking because I think I have played 10+ tournaments in the last 2 days, but my %age still shows as 'Unknown'.

In parts of India, I have seen a lot of people playing a system called as KD Joshi Count system. Does anyone here know this system? If so, can you post the basics of this system? I frequently play against people who bid this system - so it would be useful to have an idea of the system. Basically the opening bid & response here is always artificial showing points - that's all I know about this.
