just FYI, game was with screens, and card really could not be seen. Anyway i was told maybe South had to ask director after Q played. i am really not sure about this case...

East playe 8 and back with J, West showing possibloe 5 cards. So diamonds is crucial. In this moment South played the ♦5 from hand but West delayed to play, and like after 30 seconds played the Q. South then played the K from dummy and return with 10, not covered by East and played the Ace. West played off one spade, South asked director for 3NT saying West cant think with singleton. Facts: West not saw the card played by South, thats why he delayed to play, when he saw, he played the Q and said "sorry" but only dummy heard it. Director changed 3NT-1 to 3NT=. E-W made apellation. Denied. 3NT stands. Whats your opinion about this incident?

I dont bid 1H. For one level i have ate least one of two:good suit or good hcp. 1H also can help opponents to describe better how many spades they have (doubling with 4 and bidding with 5).

After 8 Boards the TD was called at the table, cause they wanted to stop the match. The TD arrives and said, that the captain form germany needs to agree to that decision. The scorer was send to find the captain. unfortunatly the scorer could not find him and returned after 5 minutes. Then one german player said, that he also feels not so well and therefore wants to stop the match. The TD agreed and stopped the match. And that is all !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I somebody at BBO or at Vuegraf-theater said anything different- that is simply not true !!!!!!!!! and if you think that somebody shpuld be banned- I dont understand why. It is discussbale, if you should stop the match 16 boards of the end ( as norway and egypt did) or stop it 8 boards beofre the end. But the proceeding at the table was agreed with the Tournament director! No player left the room without permission -- NO captain forced any player to go back to the table - that statements are all complete NONSENS! We did a great job here in Bejing with reaching the semifinal - and I dont want anybody to shed a bad light on this achievement.... true. congratulations!! finally I am so disappointed about some of the comments here...but I hope some will think about their meaning! you should think before write too. ciao Michael Gromoeller proud member of German Open team ! bye!

The true is when i read it happened i remember BBO tables when players left when bad results and i put in my blacklist (already with 500+) so i think i am tempeted to ask WBF to use some black list too :-) Of course only if rules are broken you can punish someone. If you dont like something happened is your business, use you own blacklist.

1 - 2C (bid suits when partner ask for) 2 - 1H (bid 3card-suits when no alternative) (1NT with 5hcp is loser in long run, at least until the point i runned :D)

I double with my partner, who will never bid 5H with bad suits, and will most of time pass with correct hands. If he has nothing, and 4Sx wins ,isnt so expensive and is hard to find how other table will do better, and if he has nothing i will go down...

my first call would be 3♥ michaels. Then i could pass 3NT if partner decide its good knowing i have 2suiter hand.
