  1. Hi, VuBridge* has re-written its software so that it will run (play) from within your web browser. In the final stage, I need a handful of beta-testers to try it and report bugs etc... If you are keen to spend one or two hours on it, please send me an email: didier@vubridge.com telling me "who" you are on a bridge point of view, what computer you use (operating system) and what your favorite browser is. You do not need no IT skills, what I want is feedback from keen bridge players! You'll receive a link to test-drive the new version. This is of course free of any commitment and accepted beta-testers will receive a full application for 6 month - free of charges - once the product is launched. Thanks in advance, Didier www.vubridge.com *Vu-Bridge is the modern, internet based Autobridge revival.
  2. At Notrump, the best defender's weapon is the choice of the suit to lead! You must try to set your own long suit - I mean your own team's long suit, before declarer can freely run his master cards. This hand has been played yesterday in a local tourney, where 75% of South players lazily lead the ♦ Ace, thus allowing declarer to score 600. If you know your history, you've been taught to lead 4th best of your longest suit at Notrump. Why? Because its the best way to set that suit! And this simple lesson makes a big difference! Look: If you lead the ♦ Ace, declarer will eventually make his ♦ Queen and try the ♥ finesse, playing the Jack from his hand. Your partner will make his ♥ Queen, but alas, he's got no more ♦ to lead back for you. As a result, declarer will make 3 ♠ + 4 ♥ + 1 ♦ + 1 ♣ = 9 tricks. What do you prefer: fulfill your ego playing your master Ace and King, or set the contract? [hv=pc=n&s=sjt82h74dakt84c85&w=sk4hakt92d763cj32&n=s9653hq863d95ca74&e=saq7hj5dqj2ckqt96]399|300[/hv]

  5. Hi Bridge Gurus! There is a new way of creating Bridge Reports or Bridge Problems: Vu-Bridge. With Vu-Bridge, you can: - Create prepared boards with your own auction and play sequences, and publish them for Players to subscribe. - Import Vu-Graph Championship hands of interest and write your own competition report, based on the way the Champions bid and play the hands. - Players (subscribers) will then see the hands you prepared and play them as if they were at the table! Look at: www.vubridge.com Contact: Didier@vubridge.com
  6. Hi, VuBridge has created a searchable database of Vu-Graph Events. http://www.vubridge.com/vugraph.aspx VuBridge has also created a new bridge software able to let you replay the hands as they were played live, taking the seat of any Champion you like. You'll see your hand and must bid and play the way he / she did in the real event. VuBridge Master is nearly ready to go, and needs a few more testing by volunteer bridge players. If you are interested, please contact Didier@vubridge.com
