  1. Dear all, Due to my personal schedule change, I won't be able to monitor this forum regularly enough to organize the events. We'll need some volunteers to organize the event for this event to keep running. -Leave your email here if you want to access the dropbox folder that has old events data. -I put a file "new seeding system" there as a suggestion of the next event seeding. However new organizers can set up their own rules and don't necessarily have to follow this.
  2. Congrats for the winner, will update during the weekend.
  3. You can just move on, Xavierf is responsible for not finishing the match.
  4. eagles123 is eliminated due to inactivity zupey (vs. nige1) and shail100(vs. stephen tu) please reply/play ASAP.
  5. @zupey & eagles123 either of you please respond within 24 hours, ideally with results, at least with an explanation. @all don't worry about the deadline but (if you can) finish ASAP. I understand NABC were just over. If you're lagging by too much without explanation, I might make a decision (I hope I don't need to, but can't let everyone wait one person).
  6. OK so he probably just forgets...anyway we have to move on, can eagles123 make a response here ASAP? Otherwise I'll assign lose/lose to this match.
  7. limsy,jj_,shail100,eagles123 any update?
  8. Please speed up if you still have unplayed match in reverse KO.
  9. I extend the deadline a little bit.
  10. Oh YES oops I forget that. Let's wait for barmar to announce that.
  11. Find all information here https://www.dropbox.com/s/y9r79in7lxx2ld5/Event12.xlsx?dl=0 Wait until the announcement of advance bot to start. If you already start by accident, those still count. The challenge format will be MP, non-best hand for this event. For players from seed 21~36, you have to play a reverse KO (4 advance 3) to get into R32. Play ONE set of 16 boards MP non-best hand challenge versus the assigned opponent. Then, losing player of 1A and 1B will play 1C, losing player of 2A and 2B will play 2C, etc. (Also ONE 16 boards match) Tie breaker in reverse KO: 4 boards, same format, repeat if still tie. As soon as you know your opponent in R32, you can start playing. In R32 (and the rest of the tournament) you play 4 sets of 16 boards MP non-best hand challenge versus your opponent. Tie breaker in regular KO: 8 boards, same format. If still tie, play another 4 boards play off and repeat until breaking the tie. Report the scores with link to the hand record/result. Finish reverse KO and R32 ASAP ------- Seeding of this event Seeding points= points earned from event 11+0.9*points earned from event 10+0.8*points earned from event 9+...+0.1*points earned from event 2 If tie, then register order Seeding points information https://www.dropbox.com/s/zasci0e4s1wjl02/MP-system.xlsx?dl=0 Seeding of future events (if I still organize it) Because it's a lot of work to keep the "challenge points" data. I decide to abandon the point system. Players are assigned rank 1(highest) to rank9(2nd lowest, above unranked) base on the seeding points they have prior to event 12. Then the rank will be adjusted base on the performance/participation of each event. In the future, players of the same rank will usually be seeded randomly. Notice the rank is NOT a prediction bridge skill in any format, it's simply an estimate of recent BBF challenge result and is only used for the 1st round seeding of each event. Leave your contact information (either here or pm me) if you are interested in organizing this event in the future.
  12. OK registration ends here. Give me a while to set the format. Ant590 is in this event no problem. Vilgan did not specify whether to be in this event or not but I assume that comment implied he wanted to skip this event.
  13. MP, non-best hand KO Notice there will be online NABC, then the actual Spring NABC. I'll try to keep this event as simple as possible, ideally pure KO, depends on number of people. Register by replying below, deadline 3/4 11:59pm PST. As usual, I don't play unless adding 1 person simplify the format by a lot. Continue seeking people who are interested in organizing future BBF challenge.
