It seems I am recently being clobbered by a series of GIB "fixes" - is that redundant? - related to NT opening and subsequent competition. This is the first of several I will submit. Specifically Tournament #6160, board (7) Bidding: 1NT(ME)-P-P-2C(single suit); P-2D-P-2H; X(t/o)-P-3H!-P; 3S-P-4S; all pass Hands: MINE AQJ6, A7, Q96, QJ10X MY GIB K10xx, 93, K732, 543 With a 6 count it cue bids 3H (described as forcing to 3NT) come on!!!!!! Over 3S it drives - not surprisingly - to 4S with, shall I repeat.....a 6 count! I got a lovely 10% for that. Opposing GIBs easily make 2H - we - easily make 2S which is what the GIB should have bid in the first place. Need I say more. Is the winning action to bid 2S over 2H? That is NOT bridge.
