Kryztof Martens are proposing that the double in this sequence is negative with four ♠, or a game going hand without a stopper in ♥. After the double 3♠ is forcing from opener, and responder can then bid 3nt to show no 4 card ♠ and no stopper in ♥.

I think this opening sounds interesting. How about changing the answers: 2nt: Ask opener to choose minor(Only inconvenient with 4-5-2-2 but then opener might pass?) 3♣: Invitational plus with spades, possibly also done with a hand that wants to play 4spades or 3nt. 3♦: Invitational + with hearts. I have not given to much thoughts to this responses, so probably i am missing something.. Which 2♦ and 2♠ opening would you use together with this? Multi and Muiderberg ?

Clearly this was a very difficult hand for the system. After 32519 opened 1♠, his partner was in a difficult spot. Remember that Jacoby 2nt had recently been dumped from their system (See this link) So what should he do? He choose the practical bid, and went straight to RKCB. Unlucky for him, the slam failed. If only he could have figured out that his partner had a twosuiter with spades and clubs and minimum hcp’s, the slam could have been avoided. But clearly there were no way to figure this out, so it was a very unlucky hand. Don’t blame the rule of 20.. PS: How long will it be before we have the thread: “ Is it time to dump RKCB?”

No, I think you are wrong. First, what would you learn from playing two rounds of clubs? Probably nothing. And if you choose to set up your heart trick, I think west can lock you in dummy, so that you cannot get your third heart trick. You did not give any information about what West threw on the second trick.. But still, i think your best chance is to play for west to be 0-5-4-4, and it is likely that he have that shape. So when you win with the queen of diamond i would just play for setting up heart tricks immediately.

I would bid 3♠. Partner should know that this is constructive since it is in 4th hand. Assuming that spades are running, partner needs 3 tricks for us to make game. Most of the time he would raise to 4♠ with that. Another advantage with 3♠ is that we still could reach 3nt, which could be our only making game.. The gain from bidding only 3♠ is when partner holds a hand with soft values and 3♠ is our highest making contract. And yes 3♠ is still a preempt since opponents could still have the highest making contract, but obviously it is a constructive preempt.
