I'm no expert on mobile app development but it seems like a first pass [sic] might be enabling a way to simply play some hands. The BBO system is an excellent and robust interface (thanks to Fred and other developers!), and Flash is a great interface builder, but it is not the only way to present cards and execute animations. I'm wondering whether a trimmed down version that just allowed people to play some hands (even if limited to only playing other iPhone/iPad users) would make many of us very happy. Is there a specification for how information is transmitted to and from BBO servers? ♠
