Played this hand today in GIB tournament E/W Vul, N/S nonvul E Gib opened 2S I bid 3S (michaels promising 5H + 5 unspecified minor. We are non-vul so gib should know I must have points as well as distribution Full bidding: 2S - 3S - 4S - *(by my Gib) P - P - P Explanation highlighted for my Gib dbl says only 4-8 hcp, nothing about distribution Hand result - 4S making 5 My Gib is holding a 6 cd H suit headed by the KJ, and also has the AS. The double under this circumstance makes NO SENSE at all, since bot can compute that we have 11 cd H fit, and no defensive tricks. There may be better ways I could have bid my hand - but surely the GIB is in error!
