I have heard of a friend banned twice from BBO because somebody else once used his pc and IP address and later on has been often abandoning tables. Is this possible? If I allow anybody to connect from my pc I will be considered responsible of any future uncorrect beahviour of this person? Thank you for the attention Ciao, Patrizia

Luckily not everybody is selfish, yesterday I received an e-mail in the office from Georgia, and they wrote "Apologies for not communicating in Italian" ... I was moved by this unusual courtesy. I have spent a lot of time in learning languages (with poor results) and, if I were 18 years old now, I think I would rather employ this time in some other way; there are a lot of much more interesting things to study. So I do not blame the many italian players on BBO that are unable to speak English: they are good lawyers or medicians or engineers ... or very good bridge players! I am sorry for the many foreign people who do not speak Italian and are unable to communicate with them. I hope you will continue to offer a multiple language commentary on the vugraph. Hi all, I hope the new feature Fred and Uday mentioned will come soon, and I hope it will be added on team matchse too, and not only in tournements. I am not playing serious bridge, unfortunately, and I do not want to create problems to people who are doing it. But I think that in BBO is big now and there is a lot of room for everybody: serious bridge payers will easily find the right tournemnts and team matchse for them. Have a nice day Patrizia

Good morning, I can remember that on Zone we used to have several rooms but most of them were always empty and all the people was connected on a few rooms that used to be full all the time. This happened because it was almost impossible to find a nice table in the "empty" rooms, as nobody was there. This means that when you lose connection you have to make several attempts to find an "hole" and go back to your table, and people at the table has to wait a lot of time for the player who has lost connection. It was extremely annoying. I hope this is not going to happen again, I am playing only in team matches and such a behaviour of the system would be horrible, as finding a sub is always very painful (we do not like random sub players). A part this problem I dont care of multiple bbo if I can see and chat with all my friends. Have a nice day Patrizia

Or maybe players could have on the profile the average time they employ to play one hand. In the long distance it will be easy to recognise slow players. Ciao

Hallo all, I would like to bring the attention of our marvellous software developers on the topic of team matches, the feature I love the most. Actually I spend in team matches most of my time on bbo, I love playing with friends, play is quick, i can set number of boards according to the time I have, I can start in any moment .... The software is doing very well but I have one minor requirement and I hope it can be done in one of the next versions. In the main bridge club chat is allowed with players but in team maches it is always forbidden. As I am playing team matches all the time nobody can ever speak to me. Can you please let this feature be chosen by the host? I am not frightened of cheating and I do not like to have messenger running all the time, I dont know why but my system is very very slow when I try to use messenger and bbo at the same time. More, not everybody is connected on messenger or is on my list. Thanks a lot Patrizia

Hi all, I am a little frightened reading content of this topic, I think that nobody should be allowed to read private chat except the person who receives it. I hope this is not happening now, and that it will never happen in the future. And I also think that making copies or logs or screenshots of private chat is not ethic, unless the other person chatting is informed and allows it. I know that the staff of the site cannot check this, but in many posts people here is speaking of this kind of behaviour with no blame, as if it were absolutely normal. It is not normal imho, we cannot perform an abuse in order to fight an abuse. I have never received offensive private chat, and a very small number of people is black on my list: think positive, the bbo site is 99,9% pleasant and I dont think we need this kind of controls. ... mah .... grazie per la spiegazione ma continuo a non vedere alcun motivo per sospettare una scorettezza ... fortunatamente mio marito non è capace a giocare a bridge. Io resto dell'idea che il bridge (in rete e non) deve essere giocato per divertirsi e le cacce alle streghe non sono certo allegre. Nell'eventualità di una scorrettezza preferisco perdere, e accolgo comunque volentieri i kib al mio tavolo. Ciao Patrizia

Buongirono a tutti volevo solo fare presente a beky che io conosco molte coppie di bridge e di vita che giocacano su BBO utilizzando due pc in casa con la stessa connessione. Il fatto di avere lo stesso IP non implica automaticamente la scorrettezza. Personalmente evito i tornei dove non è consentita la chat e il kibitz, ma questa ovviamente è solo una scleta personale. Ho anche trovato ultimamente che i tornei sono diventati davvero troppo lenti, o forse sono diventata troppo impaziente io ... così di fatto mi iscrivo quasi esclusivamente ai duplicati. Ciao Vincenzo, io non ho potuto aderire a questa iniziativa, anche se mi sarebbe piaciuto, per due motivi: 1) giovedì c'è l'Epson e mi piacerebbe farlo, e anche di venerdì gioco sempre al circolo con la mia compagna 2) sono troppo pigra: sicuramente avrei preferito un pagamento con carta di credito o i dollari bbo. Hi Fred, I am running bbo on Windows 98 and every time I touch the buttons on the right side of the table bbo crashes ... no answer to any command ... I can only exit with cntl+alt+canc. The chat buttom remains yellow while the other buttom I have selected is yellow, too. So I cannot see the lobby while playing and i cannot check tournments (this will improve my bridge alot but it is annoying). I did not notice this problem on 3.6.5. I have tried to change screen resolution but does not help. Hope you will solve it Kisses Patrizia
