  1. Thank you for your reply barmar but 1. I deleted "[/red]" from the code line ... still didn't work 2. had a look at your code line of the hand and it seems to show "[/red]" - although yours works Anyway, it's not important because I still can't get it to work with or without. EDIT: I copied your code line below ... and now I am completely lost .... it works ! I will examine the 2 code lines to see if I can work it out. Did you have a look at the bidding on the hand? What did you think of it and would you bid the same in the East seat? 2. If this works, could someone tell me please what they think of the bidding sequence? EDIT: didn't work [hv=bbo=y&lin=pn|hellsbels,Hollis_,isityou,kentkentke|st%7C%7Cmd%7C3S23468TJH579JDC4J%2CS59H2TD5TJQKC279A%2CSH468QKD4689C358T%2C%7Crh%7C%7Cah%7CBoard%205%7Csv%7Cn%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7C2N%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7C4C%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7C4D%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7C4N%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7C5D%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cpc%7CSJ%7Cpc%7CS5%7Cpc%7CD4%7Cpc%7CS7%7Cpc%7CHK%7Cpc%7CHA%7Cpc%7CH5%7Cmc%7C12%7C]400|300|Just testing[/hv]
  3. Experts, please correct me if I am wrong. Example: First bid, opener, my RHO bids 1♠, I overcall with a 5-card suit, point range (can vary, partnership agreement) 8-15 points. If I hold a stronger hand, 16+ points, I use a T/O double and force pard to bid, then show my 5-card suit.
  4. I merely agreed with what you posted! Why are you attacking me?
  5. Well played 'diana_eva'! That ought to stop the spammers that accuse BBO players of spamming ... :)
  6. Yes, it is obvious that BBSkill is not a BBO site and thank you for letting us know that BBO officials are becoming involved.
  7. Is that really the sticking point and what makes you suggest money from players would be the solution? There are different ways of financing such a service but if that's what BBO are after, so be it. I think it would be more interesting to hear BBO's views on this issue.
  8. Hi diana_eva, The "myhands" is very useful but it doesn't evaluate your performance, or does it?. I like the idea that I can watch my own skill level move and also being able to check anyone else's.
  9. sin1941 and 12three! You summed up the issue very well! There's not much I can add except lend my full support to you. I have used BBOSkill for quite a while and I enjoyed watching my skill level change. Most importantly, I found it extremely interesting to watch my friends' skill and indeed some BBO players who would mark their own skill level on the profile as "Novice" or "Beginner" but they actually played MUCH better than that. I wish I knew why BBO do not seem to support such a site that is so helpful and fun at the same time.
  10. You hover your mouse over a name and his/her profile appears. At the bottom of the window it shows, for some profiles, that there is info but the line is so low that only the tips of the letters appear. Could be useful info! Would it not be possible to, either restrict the space provided in "Other:" to a fixed number of characters or simply enlarge the window in order to avoid this?
