In Jassem's book after dbl on 1nt opening xfers are off. But for 90% of polish players xfers are on. In Jassem's book, when P opens 1nt and opp bids smthing dbl/rdbl is penalty. There are several mistakes here, I will try to explain it again. 1. wj2000 1d opening may be ballanced or unballanced 2. in this seqence 2c is not limited to 14hcp and/or 4 clubs, it may be also 4ex. 17hcp and 1-2-5-5 3. if I have 5 clubs and 4 diamonds and I bid diamonds first I do not promise good hand. If I have 5 clubs and 4 diamonds and I bid clubs first it is strong hand. Imho it is not very strange. 4. many polish club players open 1d also if they have 4 diamonds and 1 or 2 clubs (3-4-4-2 or simillar), or if they have 5d-332. Cheers

Some of us delibarate, how large should this implant be, and try to persuade this "xtra small design" will be quite comfortable. I do not belive this. Not many years ago some of us lived in countries where we had communist system. Phone calls were taped, letters read through. However it depends on distribution of your hand. If you just started to learn wj2000 I recommend you Dan Neill translation. I think it is not necessary to learn other versions, even the best, if no one will understand you during bidding, except the author ))) Of course if you use in your system level 2 multi opening it is not a problem: 2d= 6+M, weak or 18+ minor suit unballanced hand (other variations are 3 suiter or strong nt). But... than 2d has to be F1, and I do not like it.

We also talk about it on www.bridgebase.pl forum , and there are 2 schools: A ) 2nt= at least INV+SUP or Lebesohl (multimeaning) Players who like this, say that after interference on level 2, we bid 2 way lebensohl, so after interference on level 1 we should bid simillar. B ) 2nt= natural, and 2♠ is at least INV+SUP Players who like this, ask one question: "do you always have support?". Imho it is very good question. How will you bid hands without support, but good enough to invite 3nt? Why there are such differences? I explain: wj2000 is NOT the only type of PC. We have also wj98, Strefa etc. Morover, wj2000 players have also different styles, 4.ex. some of them after opps 1♥/♠ opening, bid 1nt as 16-18 ballanced, and others as 8-15 hcp 4M5m. 2♦ opening may be Wilkosz, or may be Multi or may be Tutti-Frutti...
