I think Adam's agreement is pretty standard, no? http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gifYu

http://tinyurl.com/8upyqvs If GIB 3NT indeed promises partial stop in both suits - the bid was wrong, and it should rebid 3H.... http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gifYu
-
http://tinyurl.com/8kbcmdv Regardless of suboptimal defense on my part, this is not a hand that should reopen with a double......it seems that GIB looks at the void as extras both for bidding and doubling, while for doubling its actually a minus. http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gifYu

http://tinyurl.com/c29gqem Solid 6 card suit......KQxxx....hmmm http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gifYu

http://tinyurl.com/9fp699s 1♠ - P -P -P? E seems like an auto X for me... http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gifYu

with a fit, even if opener is 12 the slam is probably on opposite 20..... http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gifYu

What is 5♥? In general I would lead ♦. Dummy is going to be something of 1264/1273/1363....club doesnt go away, everything else looks like a curtesy finesse of the partner. http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gifYu

My strong preference would be 3♦ first round, I think that bidding again now would overstate my hand. http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gifYu

http://tinyurl.com/8nnm5qq What was 4H? With 20 opposite opening bid and support for his 6 card suit, why didnt GIB ask aces after 3♥? http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gifYu

http://tinyurl.com/96c9ec7 If GIB plays 2 over 2 overcalls as non forcing - that would better be added to its system explanation explicitly....Also, even if its constructive nf, I would not pass 2!h. http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gifYu

http://tinyurl.com/8odp7h7 Gib can bid 3♣, but cue at 3 level is just wrong. In addition it explains the cue as 4+ diamonds. http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gifYu

I held the 1NT hand, if you bid Stayman partner bids 2♠, 3C now is 100% gf. Also I posted this hand on bridgewinners (http://bridgewinners.com/article/view/bidding-problem-172/), and tere was quite a lively discussion about stayman. http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gifYu

I think that once you chose to bid 2NT (personally dont like it ) it idoesnt mak lots of sense as rejection - you chose to play NT and hide the ♦ at lower level, i.e. you would rather play 3NT than 5♦.....so now you change your mind when partner shows a better hand? I would take anything over 4NT as looking for better slam spot than 6NT - but thats my crooked logic :) http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gifYu
-
I think I would bid 1NT - if partner can invite, I will still have time to bid ♥, and my hand is in the upper limit of 1NT, but its within that limit imo. If partner made an agressive t/o X 1NT may be our best spot. 2H seems an underbid, 3H just takes lots of space and 2NT is overbid imo. http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gifYu

I dont understand the hand exactly as it is written - what is B or V? But assuming you hold something like 10-12 HCP, if I accept I bid 5♦. http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gifYu

I think 4NT would really show that all my values are badly positioned and a likely 5422 hand... http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gifYu

KT, 97543, -, QJ7543. Team game, partner opens 1NT (15-17), all vul. Not a particularly fancy system - partner can show better or worse hand over any transfer. Whats your plan? Would it be different in matchpoints or different vulnerability? http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gifYu

Frankly I am a bit less concerned about the explanation of 2♦ - it was probably mirrored from explanation of correcting to the first suit and not individually addressed. Explanation of 3♣ matches what I would expect in natural system - 5-5....but bots hand does not.... http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gifYu

3♠ - the most common psych..... http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gifYu

I think 4C stretched just a little, and 5C stretched a lot.... http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gifYu

http://tinyurl.com/cdw77bj By definition: "biddable 5+ cards, or 4 cards + 3 of 5 honors or more than 4 8421 points rebiddable biddable + 1 card" So as I understand - rebiddable is 5+ cards - not 4.... http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gifYu

Well the random count was good enough to xx :) in any case I play that 2♠ is 2 cards usually (xx for me most likely denies fit, and if i redoubled with 3+ i would now bid 3♠). http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif Yu

I bid 4♥, and over 5♥ back to me 5♠. Hope partner got the idea. http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gifYu
