The possibility of finding partner with 5 hearts and 2 spades is a big advantage of doubling. Another advantage is that when you instead bid 2D or 2H partner can take a stronger inference that you have ten cards in two suits.
If playing Raptor (where 1N shows 5+ clubs and exactly 4 of an unknown major) I would consider treating my spades as a 4-bagger and doing that. Probably not at these colors, though - I'd just hope the opponents bid to an uncontested suit game and then go down when things split badly.
