Yes, this gets me to *my* tournaments, tournaments I have participated in, but not to all tournaments played on BBO. The link provided by inquiry does get me there, however. I suspect the name of the link to all tournaments changed not long ago, but I will bookmark this new link and be all set. Thanks.

On the app side, access to all recent BBO Tournaments is through Useful Links and Information; Results of Recent BBO Tournaments. Could there be an equivalent on the web client side? I thought at one point within the past year such access existed, but I could be mistaken.

No, I believe it was as described. I was private chatting with a fellow kibber at the table, and Dave "called out" her screen name in his reply. I noted to her that I did not see her table chat that he responded to and thus discovered the issue. She had "table chatted" to Dave and not "private chatted." On the app side, this appears not to be an issue. NOTE: I just now discovered the "BBO Web-client V38, Post suggestions and bug reports here" forum topic started by Fred. If this should be moved there, feel free to do so. But it does appear that bug reports can be legitimately placed in the aforementioned topic or here.

When kibbing (not a participant) a Teaching Table with two participants, I can only see the table chat of (I think) the S seat. Tonight (Mon 6 Sep) during Dave Harty's BIL session, I could see table chat of some of the other kibbers (to start the session, he discussed a hand and he occupied all tables), but I could tell from his chat that he was replying to table chat I never saw. These are two issues I am aware of at teaching tables in the web client.

No, no - that is the entire issue. Once we are both at the table and a hand has been dealt, she can see my table chat, but I cannot see hers! I completely understand the private chat restrictions. I was simply providing that for background. Sorry for the confusion. But I will certainly double-check to insure that she was attempting table chat and not private chat under the web-client. I am confident she was, else she would get the Chat Denied message, but I will check. Under the Windows app, I know for a certainty that we could table chat. -

Indeed, it was not. This was because I thought there were three classes of participants at the table: host, players and kibitzers. Because I wanted only the two of us to discuss the hand, I did not check any of those boxes in the Privacy Options regarding kibitzers. However, after your suggestion, I did check all Privacy Options except Invisible. It made no difference whatsoever. We can private chat before the table is created (of course). After the table is created and she sits, we can still private . But after a hand is dealt, we can no longer private. After a hand is dealt, she can hear me, the host, at the table, but I cannot hear her. I think she was even the host once, but we had the same result: she can hear me, I cannot hear her. On the download side, we can do all of this. Unfortunately, the hand in question was played on the web side, and we cannot access it on the download side. (I assume the hand is in the cloud.) Perhaps there is a setting in one of our profiles that is an issue here. (I have permission to provide her screen name if Support needs it.) Or perhaps all teachers use the download side, and some "gotchas" for teaching tables on the web side have just not been worked out. Or perhaps it is something else altogether. I am willing to try other suggestions. Thanks for your continuing help. Thanks for the detailed report. It sounds like there may be a bug somewhere - I will investigate... A couple of questions: 1) When you were the host were you also sitting? 2) Does your student use the Windows client or the web-client? Sorry if you provided this info already and I missed it. Fred Gitelman Bridge Base Inc. www.bridgebase.com 1) Yes, I was hosting and occupying two additional seats, leaving one seat open for the player I wanted to discuss the hand with. 2) While I was using web-client, she used both the Windows app and the web-client with the same result. -

Negatory on all three counts. Regarding "teachers can see all ...", see my reply to Fred's suggestion of 24 August. -
a hand to a teaching table - downloaded v client

Yes, I could do this one. It seems to be primarily for teachers who have a series of prepared hands to present to a class. Yes, I could do this one, too. It best fits my situation of a collection of random hands I have saved whereby I can select the particular one I am interested in talking about. HOWEVER, the individual I invited to go through the bidding with me could not talk to me at the teaching table. She could hear me, but I could not hear her. I assumed everyone at the table could talk to each other, even if kibbing was disallowed, but apparently not. And private chat between the two of us was also disabled. I assume my table options were incorrect, but it is not clear to me in what way. Any suggestions? I have not tried this one, but I have every confidence it will work. :) Yes, it only occurred to me after the conclusion of the tournament that this was a hand I was interested in talking about to others. I will definitely keep this in mind - I can always delete a hand later if I decide it was not so interesting after all. Thanks for all your help! -

I recently played a hand in a BBO club tourney under the Web client. I would like to use that hand at a teaching table to review the bidding with some of my friends. Web Client: Using the Hand Editor tool, I can create the hand and place it in the My Favorite Hands folder. However, when I start a teaching table and try to Use Saved Deals, the hand is not shown under My Favorite Hands. Downloaded: I cannot determine how to create the hand to begin with. Can someone fill in the gaps for me? I prefer using the Web Client, but that is certainly not a requirement.
