  1. From experience, I have formulated a following guidelines about opening at three level: 1. Avoid opening at three level in the first position. You may end up pre-emping tour partner. 2. You should have minimum 6 cards and 13 counts including shortges and length. Also you must have either AK or KQ (AQ will not do). What is your experience? What do you think about these guidelines? Are they good?
  2. If your P opens 1S and you have 16 counts with three spade cards including K or J, how do you respond? Partner may have 19 counts and we may have a slam.
