Yeah, players can take the same action. The action is only performed once, but all players who actually chose it get the bonus.

San Juan is the baby version of Puerto Rico which also has that mechanic. I prefer Race for the Galaxy, which not only has all players taking the action, it has all players simultaneously and secretly selecting an action too. It goes a lot faster.

middle from H8x/H9x/HTx is pretty well known if you're going to lead the suit. it's especially great when you lead T and don't hit partner, and he can't figure out what you've done

i think you're really underestimating your chances in 3N. your opponent made the mistake of preempting. if you declare, you have a road map of the hand

Maybe in order to understand endplay, we have to look at the word itself. Basically, it's made up of two separate words — "endp" and "lay." What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is endplay.

you could make a long series of asking bids, asking the opponents where the key honors are and the relevant suit breaks once you get that info and bid the grand, they can trust you and take the save

reminds me of a video that Fred did where he had to keep his two medium spades in order to prevent the opponents (I think Meckwell) from underplaying the 3 to partner's 4

Maybe just about being good at recognizing kill points Honestly I was just being robotic and habitual when I said I'd autoplay a diamond. Just a reflex of not breaking suits, but when I actually decided to figure out how we were beating it, I saw that partner was getting ended I didn't stop to work out if we could beat it if partner doesn't have the HT Of course I am not nearly as strong as many of the posters here, so maybe this is easy for them
